Carmen Ejogo is best known thus far for her leading role of civil rights activist ‘Coretta Scott King’ opposite David Oyelowo in the universally acclaimed SELMA as well as being singled out for her ‘mind-blowing’ lead role performance of ‘Sister’ in SPARKLE alongside Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks (Liz Smith, Tribune).

Written by J. K. Rowling, the film is set in 1926 and follows the adventures of writer Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) in New York's secret community of witches and wizards seventy years before Harry Potter reads his book in school.
Next year Carmen will take a leading role in Ridley Scott’s ALIEN: COVENANT with Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender and IT COMES AT NIGHT with Riley Keough and Joel Edgerton.
Earlier this year she won plaudits for her lead role opposite Ethan Hawke in the independent feature BORN TO BE BLUE, which depicted jazz legend Chet Baker's musical comeback in the late '60s.
