LEE INGLEBY is renowned for his versatility having won acclaim for his roles in some of our best loved and most successful dramas.

He plays ‘Paul Hughes’, father to six-year-old Joe in THE A WORD, ‘A warm, witty and thought-provoking exploration of parenting’ (Michael Hogan, Daily Telegraph) from BAFTA winning writer Peter Bowker (MARVELLOUS) for BBC1 and Sundance TV. The A Word has recently been recommissioned to return for a second series where Lee will reprise his role.

Lee was also seen in the principal cast in Sky1’s THE FIVE alongside Tom Cullen, Sarah Solemani and O-T Fagbenle. The new 10-part thriller series from the mind of international best seller by Harlan Coben that 'fizzed along at a fascinatingly compelling pace' according to The Guardian. Lee starred in this taut mystery, 'loved' by Stephen King, about the consequences of a terrible childhood incident for a group of friends.  

A true chameleon, Lee is known for his much loved, vast and varied roles; from his debut lead role in the BBC's NATURE BOY, acclaimed turns in WHITE HEAT and Jimmy McGovern's THE STREET, to a serial killer in LUTHER as well as his recurring lead in INSPECTOR GEORGE GENTLY and the inspiring founder of Chester Zoo in the BBC’s OUR ZOO. For film, his roles include a nervous Midshipman in Oscar-winning MASTER AND COMMANDER, a wizarding bus conductor in HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN and Drew Barrymore’s best friend in EVER AFTER: A CINDERELLA STORY.
