Roman Kemp was recently announced as the youngest presenter on Capital FM. Now 23, he gained his first ever radio show on one of the biggest broadcasters in the UK at the mere age of 21.
He first started uploading videos to YouTube in the summer of 2013, creating football channel ‘Pitch Invasion TV’ and filming content in his bedroom. After solidifying his role as an online presenter, he moved quickly to start posting content on a personal channel filled with pranks, impressions and comedy.
2014 saw Roman become a regular face of the online community, becoming the presenter of Adidas ‘Gamedayplus’ where Roman travelled around Europe to interview and hang out with the best footballers in the game, including 4 World Cup winners.
Born in Los Angeles, Roman has always had a keen eye on the entertainment world. At the age of 15 he signed a record deal with Universal Music. With a development deal with Mercury, he got to work with great artists and play incredible venues. Roman also forged a successful modelling career, modelling in campaigns for the likes of TopMan and DropDead.
Turning his hand to presenting, Roman has gone from strength to strength. As well as his show on Capital and Adidas’ GameDay Plus, he is currently working on several projects, from fronting EpicNews on 4Music to hosting The Magic Spray for The Sun.
Due to the past success of Roman’s Sunday morning and Saturday afternoon Capital FM show, he has now been given the weekday evening prime-time slot of Monday to Thursday 7pm - 10pm, as well as retaining his Sunday morning 9am - 12pm show, currently one of the most listened to radio shows in the UK.
Most recently, Roman was announced as a member of X Factor team for 2016, appearing on Xtra Factor as their new Social Media Presenter as well as acting as Digital Presenter for the main X Factor site presenting exclusive online content.
He is a US/English citizen with Dual Nationality and currently lives in London.
