RORY FLECK-BYRNE trained at RADA and graduated in 2010, a particularly strong year for graduating students which included James Norton, Phoebe Fox and Alexandra Roach. In his short time since leaving in he has appeared in GRANTCHESTER, VAMPIRE ACADEMY both for television, and a dark feature film called THE QUIET ONES, from the producers of The Woman in Black and co-starring Sam Claflin and Olivia Cooke.

This October, Rory joins Pierce Brosnan in a fast-paced action feature called THE FOREIGNER based on the best-selling novel by Stephen Leather and directed by Martin Campbell (CASINO ROYALE, GOLDENEYE, GREEN LANTERN and LEGEND OF ZORRO). Following that, Rory will also star in a feature film with Adelaide Clemens called NIGHT OF THE LOTUS with Russell Tovey and Saffron Burrows. He is also currently filmin a supporting lead in VITA AND VIRGINIA opposite Gemma Arterton, Isabella Rossellini and Elizabeth Debicki.

In addition to this year’s film projects, he recently starred with three of our finest actresses, Samantha Morton, Lesley Manville and Jessica Brown-Findlay in a television drama for Hulu and ITV Encore called HARLOTS. It followed the story of brothel owner, Margaret Wells, who struggled to raise her daughters in 18th century London. Rory played the part of Daniel, the love interest of Jessica’s character.

In theatre, Rory has had integral roles in the West End production of Shakespeare’s KING CHARLES III dir. by Rupert Goold CBE, THE VORTEX at The Gate in Dublin, DISCO PIGS at the Young Vic  - The Guardian said Rory gave ‘a kick-ass performance' - and THE LION IN WINTER dir. by Sir Trevor Nunn where Time Out described Rory as ‘Irresistibly watchable’. His most recent theatre credit was playing ‘Vronksy’ in Tolstoy’s ANNA KARENINA at the prestigious Abbey Theatre in Dublin.
