Will Best is a handsome, fun, likeable presenter with bundles of charm and a contagious passion for all things music, comedy and youth culture.
His first TV presenting gig was a series called Suck My Pop on VIVA, part of the MTV network, alongside Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, which aired every Friday night. Will has also voiced the MTV Top 20 chart on VIVA and across the MTV network.
Will was the latest addition to the T4 family when he joined in 2011 and was seen every Saturday and Sunday on Channel 4 and E4 until the strand ended in December 2012. During this time, he also presented Freshly Squeezed and the Snowbombing Festival coverage in Austria for Channel 4, fronted his first live online show Heat4, in conjunction with Heat Magazine and the E4 website, and was the monthly music and entertainment presenter on 4Music show, The Crush.
In September 2012, he hosted the massively popular iTunes Festival for C4 and E4 with Nick Grimshaw and Annie Mac. Will interviewed all the bands and hosted backstage coverage over the four week festival at the Roundhouse in Camden. He also hosted a new Channel 4 music show, in association with Lyle & Scott, introducing new DJ’s, artists and bands. Will Best returned to host the iTunes Festival in 2013, and presented show highlights, interviews and backstage gossip from the month-long festival alongside Lauren Laverne and Tom Ravenscroft.
With online TV becoming a rapidly growing genre, Will teamed up with TV and music mogul Simon Cowell on a couple of international projects. You Generation TV was a weekly global show that searched for the most talented viewers and was watched in countries including Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, the UK and the USA. Will also hosted a live show with Skype from Simon Cowell's house in LA called Ask Simon, where fans could submit their questions directly to Simon.
Will is also an accomplished comedy writer, DJ & entrepreneur. He runs a series of popular 'house' nights in London, called ReviveHer, which celebrated its 4th anniversary earlier this year and brings incredible acts and DJs from all over the world to host a great night for music fans. From DJs tipped for big things in the future to legendary performers who will soon be discovered by a new generation of music lovers, previous artists have included Jackmaster, Julio Bashmore, Jam City, Dark Sky, Mad Mats, Yakula, DJ Gonno from Japan and London-based DJ Gatto Fritto, as well as Stefan Goldmann, who took to the decks in his first London appearance in several years.
2015 saw Will launch an exciting music sharing site called Audiosplitter. More information to follow very soon.
Will has led a varied life, born in London but raised in Tadcaster, Leeds. He studied History at Manchester University, and during those hedonistic student days organized club nights in art galleries and warehouses, alongside honing his DJ’ing skills all over the city. After University the advertising world beckoned and he landed himself a high powered role at one of the world’s leading advertising agencies before moving into presenting.
