Actor and writer Ben Bailey Smith is best known for his multiple television credits over the past decade including; DS Joe Hawkins in ITV drama LAW & ORDER and most currently Rufus in BRITANNIA on SKY ATLANTIC alongside Mackenzie Crook and David Morrissey. In 2020 Ben will appear as Richie in the anticipated second series of BBC ONE drama THE SPLIT with Nicola Walker and Stephen Mangan.

His other television work includes for ITV; Blake in CLEANING UP alongside Sheridan Smith and Johnny in BRIEF ENCOUNTERS, for Channel 4; THE INBETWEENERS and DEREK, for the BBC; HUNTEDDOCTOR WHO, Phoebe Waller Bridge’s FLEABAG and PC Dave in NURSE

His film work includes; DAVID BRENT: LIFE ON THE ROAD, THE ROAD TRIP and LEVEL UP. Ben will soon be heard as the voice of the goldfish in animation movie STARDOG AND TURBOCAT with Luke Evans and Gemma Arterton. 

As an author, his first children’s book, the Walker/Candlewick-published I AM BEAR was an instant hit with critics and readers alike. The follow up, BEAR MOVES, was released in February 2019. Ben is also known as stand-up comedian and underground rapper Doc. Brown.
