DAPS is an award-winning Director whose work has gone on to generate billions of views. He is best known for directing music videos for artists such as Migos, Drake, IggyAzalea, Kendrick Lamar and Michael Dapaah.
A British citizen; Daps was raised as a child of the world - living in several different regions across the globe, including Lagos, London, Soto Grande, Connecticut, North Carolina, Kentucky and Los Angeles. This has undoubtedly influenced his creative style and vision, with a distinctive voice that speaks of the rhythms and landscape of his international experience.
In 2016, Daps directed the video for Migos’ BAD AND BOUJEE which went on to become a US Number 1 and accumulated hundreds of millions of views. The video was nominated for ‘Video Of The Year’ and ‘Viewers Choice’ at the 2017 BET Awards. Since then, BAD AND BOUJEE has also acquired an MTV VMA nomination for ‘Best Hip-Hop Video’. Following the undeniable success of this video, Daps has gone on to direct several more successful videos of 2017, receiving nominations for 2018 BET ‘Video of the Year’ and MTV VMA ‘Hip-Hop Video Of The Year’ for Migos’ WALK IT, TALK IT ft. Drake. The demand for Daps’ eye for an original hit video led him to direct videos for artists such as Stormzy, Wizkid and Nicki Minaj.
Daps is the only Director ever to direct multiple genres from multiple countries that have gone on to reach #1 in their respective territories. Since this achievement, his social media following had grown to over 60k across multiple platforms and he is now a staple personality in the UK music and entertainment scene.
In July 2017, Daps premiered his debut short film GODS From The Corner in Los Angeles.The film further establishes him as a modern visionary, demonstrating his exceptional creativity and multilayered talents.
